Second Grade – In an effort to combine technology with our Foundations and Frameworks Reading program, second grade students will use Kidspiration to create an Intellectual Art piece as part of a book report.  In cooperation with their science study of animals, the students create a book using Microsoft Office Publisher.

Third Grade – As these students study communities, they learn to research on the internet and then place their information into an informative brochure using Microsoft Office Publisher.

Fourth Grade – Internet safety and appropriate use of information gathered from the internet is explored by our fourth graders prior to their study and research of Native Americans.  Also, these students will create a Prezi presentation using their research of ecosystems.

Fifth Grade – These students begin an ongoing research project dedicated to individual presidents each year.  Building on their internet research skills is the technology goal focused on during the beginning of fifth grade.  Fifth graders use Prezi, an online presentation tool, as they input the information gathered during their visit to Schilling Farms’ Civil War Day and a trip to Shiloh. Fifth grade students also create a Google account and begin discovering the benefits of Google Docs through the development of various projects.
