Q. What is the Annual Fund?
A. Your annual financial gift enables our students to reach their fullest potential academically, athletically, artistically and spiritually. Each gift made by our parents, alumni, grandparents and friends demonstrates their support of the cause of Christian education and the mission of our school.
Q. How exactly will my gift be used?
A. All donations are directed to three funds: Christian Education, Athletics and Fine Arts. As a donor, you can choose which fund to apply your gift to.
Q. Is there still the option to designate my donation to the “Area of Greatest Need”?
A. Yes. We encourage our donors to make unrestricted gifts. This gives our school the flexibility to apply your donations where they can be the most impactful.
Q. Why do you ask for donations in addition to tuition?
A. Tuition and fees do not cover the true cost of a Briarcrest education. Giving to the Annual Fund is vitally important as it helps to keep Christian education as affordable as possible for our current students and our community.
Q. With this change in Annual Fund reporting, will the membership in the Athletic or Fine Arts booster club be treated as an Annual Fund donation?
A. Yes. All yearly giving donations will be treated as an Annual Fund financial gift.
Q.How much should I give?
A. The key to stewardship giving is that the gift be made cheerfully and sacrificially. We simply ask that all our supporters make a cheerful and sacrificial gift to the important cause of Christian education. This is a different amount for everyone and all gifts of all sizes are vitally important.
Q. What is the difference in Annual Fund and capital campaigns?
A. Annual Fund donations are given and spent annually. Capital campaigns are not conducted on a regular basis and are funds strictly used to help purchase property and construct buildings, i.e., the bricks and mortar. Our current capital campaign, Fulfilling the Promise/Building Our Future, is supporting the $7 million auditorium named Dr. Willard R. Sparks Chapel and Performing Arts Center.
Q. Can I use my credit card?
A. Yes. You can give securely online with your credit card.
Q. Can I set up monthly donations?
A. Yes, you can indicate that on the remittance envelope or online at “Support BCS.”
