Briarcrest Christian School seeks distinguished faculty who demonstrate outstanding ability in the classroom and a sincere love of teaching.  The Briarcrest faculty averages 16 years of teaching experience. Fifty percent of our faculty members hold post-graduate degrees.   Thirty-three faculty members are alumni.

 Briarcrest Christian School was certified as a 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Best Christian Workplace. Briarcrest Christian School qualified for this honor due to high scores in the anonymous BCWI employee survey.  The BCWI survey has been conducted in the U.S. and Canada for the past 8 years. 

Employees of Briarcrest Christian School answered more than 50 questions measuring how well Briarcrest Christian School is doing when it comes to employee job satisfaction, employee organizational commitment, Christian witness, supervisory effectiveness, opportunities for personal growth and development, customer/supporter satisfaction, teamwork, communication and fairness of pay and benefits.

Briarcrest Christian School was voted by the reader’s of The Commercial Appeal as the 2012 “BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL” in Memphis and 2012 “BEST EMPLOYER” in Memphis!  In 2013, 2014, 2015 Briarcrest was voted a "Memphis Favorite" by readers of The Commercial Appeal.

Open Positions 

High School College Counselor

BCHS is looking for a college counselor who can educate students and parents about college, the college admission process, the trends, procedures, and testing.  This position advises and supports classes of 130-160 seniors and families as they go through the college selection process.  This person will meet with juniors and seniors individually and in groups.  The college counselor also works with the high school counselor to advise sophomores and freshman of curricular choices.

·         Bachelor or Advanced Degree in counseling strongly recommended

·         Experience working with college counseling and admission required

·         High School experience preferred

·         Knowledge and ability to work with the online college admission platform-Naviance

·         Communicate effectively with parents

·         Write official letters of recommendation for seniors and juniors

·         Coordinate all AP testing and serve as the AP Coordinator

·         Coordinate a Fall and Spring College Tour

·         Maintain records on seniors, including GPA’s and official transcripts

·         Meet with all college admission representatives who visit campus and serve as a liaison with the college admission offices throughout the year.

Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse Head Coach:  Potential Teaching Position in High School

Briarcrest Christian School is looking for a Varsity Head Coach for the Lacrosse program of 7 years. Teaching positions are available as well as other potential positions.  Full-time position will include salary, health benefits and family discount to the school for coach’s children.

Salary: Commensurate with experience, competitive.

Responsibilities include:

*Coaching all practices and game for varsity and junior varsity level play.

*Working with Lower School Coordinator and coaches to further developed younger age program.

*Maintaining good relationships with lacrosse community in Memphis

*Maintaining moral conduct with students and community at all times.

*Coaching summer camp(s) for youth program (separate stipend)

Previous coaching and teaching experience is mandatory.  College playing experience preferred.

Sodexo Cafeteria Positions


Sodexo with Briarcrest is looking to fill positions in the cafeteria and kitchen. Part-time and full-time hours available – including fry cook, cashier, baker and dishwasher.  Must be personable and able to communicate well with both adult and children customers. Food experience a plus!!!!

No nights, weekends or holidays required!
