Testing Information
On Wednesday, October 17, 2012, students in grade 9 will take ACT's EXPLORE Test, students in grade 10 will take the ACT's PLAN test & students in grade 11 will take the College Board's Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Students will report to homeroom at 7:30 A.M. instead of their first period classes. (Seniors will report to the gym for a college planning meeting.) Testing will last until approximately 11 A.M. and then students will follow an abbreviated schedule for the remainder of the day.
During the week of September 10, 2012, 11th grade homeroom teachers will distribute the Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT to your student. Students are encouraged to read the description of the test, review the testing strategies and take the practice test. Also, students in grades 9 should review their EXPLORE test results from last year and students in grade 10 should review their PLAN test results from last year.
