Join Us For The Event Of The Year! Briarcrest 40th Anniversary Celebration!
On Saturday, February 1, Briarcrest, along with title sponsor Jaguar Land Rover Bluff City will host a very special evening to celebrate the 40th year of our school. The evening will kickoff with a buffet dinner, musical entertainment provided by Briarcrest OneVoice, SoundScape, The Will Tucker Band, Andy Childs and much, much more! A special 40th Anniversary video will be shown to commemorate the past 40 years of Briarcrest history. Kyle Rote, Jr. will be the evening emcee.

Drew is co-creator and Executive Director for Cornerstone Prep, providing high quality education to low-income children in the Binghampton community. "God has taken our school from serving 30 students 3 years ago to 500 students. Cornerstone Prep was selected by the state of Tennessee to transform the worst school in the state of Tennessee (Lester) into one of the highest performing schools and we have 5 years to do it." For the past five years Josh Goode has been a leader with BNI, which stands for Business Networking International. There are 14 local BNI chapters in the Mid-South. He has served as a local chapter President, and he is the Regional Chapter Growth Coordinator. He has a communications degree from the University of Memphis where he concentrated on Film and TV Production. Josh worked for years for movies and television shows that filmed in Memphis in the early 2000’s. He was also producer, writer and editor for Eyewitness News. Football Homecoming & Alumni Golden Saints Golf Tournament
Homecoming activities include:
- 12:30 p.m. Golf tournament at Memphis National Golf course for alumni and friends. Shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Sign up at BCS Golf Tournament
- 5:30 p.m. All alumni and their families are invited to a complimentary barbecue dinner in the high school Commons at 5:30 p.m. and free admittance to the 7 p.m. football game.
- 6:30 p.m. Homecoming awards ceremony before the football game at 6:30 p.m. for distinguished alumni, faculty & induction of alumni athletes into the Hall of Fame. The 2013 distinguished alumni recipient is Mrs. Ginger Johnson, '81 Danny Childs Distinguished Faculty Society: Carla McCrary, Annette Hardcastle Athletic Hall of Fame: Newton Mealer ’89, Drew Sippel ’84, Gretchen Thompson ’92, Mark Carson, Leslie Wilkins Brady ’95
2013 Fine Arts Alumni Recognition Evening: Friday, September 6
All Fine Arts alumni and their families are invited to a complimentary barbecue dinner in the high school Commons at 5:30 p.m., free admittance to the football game at 7 p.m. and hard hat tours of the new Dr. Willard R. Sparks Chapel and Performing Arts Center will be available throughout the evening for alumni and their families.
Alumni band members marching and playing alongside the high school band members on the football field before the game then sitting in the stands and playing alongside them throughout the football game. For practice tracks use this link Briarcrest Band practice tracks
Alumni choir members are invited to sing the national anthem together on the field before the game.
Alumni visual arts students are invited to participate in an "Alumni & Friends" Art Sale throughout the evening. Please contact Pat Cox @ firstname.lastname@example.org for registration form and details.
At halftime, BCS Fine Arts Alumni Hall of Fame recipients Craig Thompson ’79, Michael Williams ’87, Ron Turner, former band director for middle school, high school jazz band and asst. marching band director will be awarded.
